About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Australian Bookkeeper to support a real estate investment and property development company.
This role goes beyond standard bookkeeping — you’ll manage multi-entity accounts, oversee trust compliance, and prepare project-level financial reports for property developments.
You’ll collaborate with finance, project, and operations teams to ensure all financial data is accurate, compliant, and aligned with company goals. Training and long-term support will be provided to help you succeed within established systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple property and investment entities
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and trust account reconciliations
- Prepare cash flow reports, management accounts, and financial summaries for active projects
- Maintain accurate cost tracking, budgets, and progress billings across developments
- Ensure GST, BAS, PAYG, and other Australian compliance requirements are met
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records using Xero, PropertyMe, and/or Resly
- Work closely with leadership and project managers to provide financial insights and reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Provide general administrative and finance coordination support as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience for Australian clients
- Background in real estate, construction, or property development (highly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (Xero Certified preferred)
- Experience with PropertyMe, Resly, or similar property management systems
- Solid understanding of trust accounting and multi-entity bookkeeping
- Proficient in BAS/GST reporting and Australian compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
- Confident communicating with accountants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects
